Eating Local

A great way to lower your impact is to eat local! I love supporting restaurants that source locally and help the community be more sustainable

Supporting your local businesses is such an easy way for you to help mama earth and the business you are eating at. Most local restaurants source from local suppliers and cut down on the impact. The more we eat at local restaurants when we are eating out, the more the earth and our communities will thank us πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ

p.s. if you can walk to the restaurant, double points because 0 carbon emissions will be used 🌎✨

For my Ohio peeps, here is such a good restaurant that I love supporting:

It's called The Crest and it is a locally owned business and they are always keeping it sustainable! They strive to find the best local ingredients and they even have a garden in front of their restaurant, which is where they get their seasonal veggies from! (i'm fangirling)

Some ways they keep it sustainable is by partnering with local farmers and composting all their food scraps. They also offer a community compost drop off which is amazing as their locations are in more of a city area where it's hard to find places to compost.

They are always on top of it as their menu changes seasonally and their food is so yummy πŸ™ŒπŸΌ 🌱 @thecrestgastropub
