Sustainability Mindset

Your mindset on sustainability is more important than the swaps you make. the things you don't buy and the reusables you remember.

don't get me wrong... swaps, reusables and conscious shopping is important but the way you think about sustainability and being eco-friendly is how you create change that lasts.

The key to a supportive mindset around sustainability is having fun with it, having hope and having grace.

Having fun with sustainability is important because when things are fun it's contagious and addicting. When something is fun we want to do it more, we want to invite everybody with us and we want to actually do it. Make sustainability fun, make fun DIYS, get outside and fall in love with the planet, find ways to bring others into the fun also.

Having hope with sustainability, we have to actually believe that this is making change. We have to remember that everything we do counts, we vote with our dollar and people are paying attention. We have to have hope that people can change. That the corporations are making changes we have to have hope the earth can heal and we will all be okay. It's not worth doing unless you hold the hope. no need to be doom and gloom because that's not how Mama wants us to save her. She wants us to be balls to the wall that this is going to work. FULL SEND HOPE ENERGY

Having grace with sustainability. Mama earth has so much grace in nature. We need to take some of that for ourselves. If we don't have grace for ourselves and others then we will burn out. When we have grace for ourselves then we make change that lasts. When we have grace for others we make them want to be better. Grace is the way to create space and opportunities to do better. We need to learn to love the contracts of "not sustainable" to keep us inspired to be sustainable and we need to not focus on being perfectionist and focus on doing better overall!
